Meet Our Administrative Team

Principal’s Message:

Hello Wonderful Families and Soon-to-Be Students!

I am absolutely thrilled and feel so lucky to be stepping into the role of Principal at our amazing new school, Milliken Intermediate! This is such an exciting chance for us to build something truly special, a welcoming and energetic learning community where every single student feels valued, encouraged, and ready to shine. My heart believes that when we create a supportive and innovative space, children's natural curiosity blossoms, and they develop a love for learning that lasts a lifetime. I'm so excited to start this adventure with you, our incredible staff, and the fantastic Milliken community, as we work together to make Milliken Intermediate School an exceptional place where every child can grow and succeed.

I truly believe in the power of teamwork between our school and our families, so please know that I'm here for you and eager to connect! Feel free to reach out anytime at (970) 587-6204 or alan.plaisance@weldre5j.org.

Assistant Principal's Message:

Dear Families and Future Students,

My name is Danny Cohoon and I will be your Assistant Principal. I have been an Elementary Education for 13 years. In the classroom, I taught 3rd Grade and 5th Grade. Outside of the classroom, I have been an Instructional Coach and an Assistant Principal.

I am a Johnstown native and have called Johnstown “home” for my entire life. In fact, I attended Milliken Elementary School and Milliken Middle School, so these buildings also feel like “home.” Being in this position, in my home district, is very special and something I take a lot of pride in.

I have been married to my wife, Sasha, since 2013 and we have a daughter named Charlotte. I love sports, especially Colorado sports- Go Nuggets! I enjoy working out, watching Charlotte participate in all of her extra curricular activities, and I enjoy collecting sports cards.

Relationships are very important to me. Relationships with fellow staff members, all of my students, and all families will always be a top priority for me. I look forward to forming strong relationships with everyone that I come into contact with.

I am thrilled to partner with you and work together to get the absolute most out of your child. I believe the elementary years are when students learn essential life skills, work habits, and the foundation for success. These life skills, work habits, and foundations will prepare them for the rest of their lives. One of my favorite things about Elementary Education is getting to witness my students, past and present, achieve accomplishments in their lives.
